Black is Naturally Beautiful

Black is Naturally Beautiful

I don't know the era or the area you grew up- but I know and remember from my childhood -  the communal or the rural setting where I grew up brought to me the reflections of my past.
Guys I'm no #Methusala but I have leaved to witness the rise and set-down of the 90's #BadGyal or #BrimahKamoko (BokomBanku) turn a #whiteman and back to #Blackman.

In honesty,  it was rare to see a fully exposed body parts as portrayed in today's media, yet the one thing was evidence- Natural beauty.

As novice as I was, I could only appreciate #PMFVasline" , #SheaButterWithRedOil, #KolobuDextinPowder and to be alittle exotic #SaturdayNightPowder and #CurlOut were then the most dominantly favoured Beauty products. These  Products as though inferior when compared to today's Dermatology or medically approved products, somehow had the efficacy to preserve and maintain the Ghanaian (African) Skin Pigment and one could confidently tell of a DarkSkin and a LightSkin is #Natural or not.

Now Beauty they say is at different dimension- the embrace of western cultures and adoption of foreign practices have overtake the former. African Beauty now is attributed to #Nakeness and how #Lighter one's #SkinPigment can be. The use of #hydroquine and so on, is now the norm.

In order not to write novels here, I meant to imply the African Beauty has been Downgraded to chemical engineering and inferiority complex.

My only hope is for us to know who we are- God's own Kind- Most beautiful moving creatures ever made on the surface of earth.
